Fundraising continues!
The funding for the current work is secure, but we are still fundraising for the next steps which we hope will include:
– Replacing the asbestos roof above the loft area.
– Improving the driveway and further improving accessibility.
– Fitting out storage areas for most efficient use.
– Replacing kitchen equipment – we’ll need pans suitable for the new induction hob.
We’re also establishing a cleaning and maintenance fund to make sure we can keep the new facilities up to scratch.
We are delighted that The Pineapple Youth Trust has offered to match-fund amounts we raise from Scout families and the local community in this next stage. As a registered charity we are able to claim gift aid too where donors are UK taxpayers. Combined this means every £10 we raise can be worth up to £22.50 to us. A range of fundraising initiatives will be taking place in the Autumn and throughout 2027.
