Scouts Parents Handbook – Patrol and Assistant Patrol Leaders

After some time in the Troop, Scouts may be chosen to be Patrol or Assistant Patrol Leaders. The leaders decide this and may also have to move Scouts between Patrols occasionally to balance numbers or experience.

Patrol and Assistant Patrol Leaders are given extra responsibilities in the Troop – organising their Patrol during the activities and leading them, helping new Scouts or those with extra needs, running a Scouts night themselves, coming to Forums to develop the programme etc.

We expect good attendance levels, good behaviour and adherence to the Scout Promise in those selected.
